Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed officers to declare their property inside 15 days, following up on an equivalent order to ministers after assuming office yesterday, a switch geared towards uprooting corruption.
Individually, Adityanath directed state DGP Javeed Ahmed to ensure that there was no laxity in bettering laws and order state of affairs, hours after a BSP chief was shot lifeless in Allahabad.
At his first interaction with senior officers in Lok Bhawan, the chief minister moreover instructed them to verify implementation of BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' (manifesto).
"It was an introductory meeting with UP government officials. The officials were told that the Sankalp Patra has to be implemented," Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, who was moreover present, instructed reporters.
The chief minister moreover requested officers to declare their property — immovable and movable — inside 15 days, Maurya said.
The meeting was attended by spherical 65 senior officers. The officers bought a reproduction of BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' and instructions have been issued to them to prepare a roadmap for his or her respective departments, a senior BJP chief said.
"As uprooting corruption is the main agenda of our party, the CM in his first introductory meeting with his new ministers directed them to give details of their income, movable and immovable properties with 15 days," cabinet minister Srikant Sharma had said yesterday.
Official sources said Adityanath expressed concern over the assault on the BSP chief and burdened that restoring laws and order was the best priority of his authorities.
